IT WORKS!!

So for anyone with the same problem, this is the work around that worked for me:

1. Running Windows XP (possibly on other versions)
2. Installing the FULL 2.8.3 version of the game (1.9GB file)
3. Getting the error: "Unable to Copy File: The system cannot find the file specified."
4. Have a custom temp folder set.
5. Plenty of free disk space.

Reset your temp folder to the default folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp
Where [username] is your windows user name.

example for my user:
C:\Documents and Settings\Gaspard\Local Settings\Temp
"Gaspard" is my user name

The temp folder is set in:
My Computer > Right-Click > Properties
System Properties dialog
Advanced Tab
Click Environment Variables button
Change the top 2 variables to the default value (if they're not already set to that)

Merci greg, j'ai vu ce forum aussi... j'ai essayé de le faire mais c'etait deja le fichier par defaut, donc je n'ai pas pu faire sa manipulation.

Tout à l'heure steve va me donner la 2.7 et je telechargerais les patchs, car apparemment c'est la full version qui poserait pb pr beaucoup d'utilisateurs...
